Undercut Saw used to undercut door jambs to eliminate tight fits. High carbon steel blade, and a comfortable wooden handle.
Lay a piece of scrap flooring on the ground up against the jamb you need to cut. Set the undercut saw on top the scrap flooring and make your cut. The piece of flooring will guide the undercut saw keeping it straight, and at the proper height to accommodate the new flooring. This trick will remove any margin of error of “measure twice and cut once.”
